Today's CCTV environments are increasingly containing a mix of both analog and digital equipment. By also adding a video server into the mix, there's no longer the issue of deciding whether to go analog or digital, as both can now be used together. The ACTi SED-2610 will take the analog signal of up to 8 of your analog cameras and convert it into digital so that it can be streamed live over a network. In addition to remote Internet viewing, this unit will also add 2-way audio, alarm I/O ports and PTZ control to each of your analog cameras, all of which can then be accessed over the network.
- Highly Efficient MPEG-4 ASP Compression
- More than your run-of-the-mill MPEG-4 codec, the MPEG-4 ASP (Active Server Pages) compression format has a better way of handling Web pages, resulting in a smoother transition of data from your camera to wherever it needs to land on the network. MPEG-4 ASP is also a contributing factor to the camera's ability to achieve 30 FPS at full D1 resolution.
- Multiple Streams with Variable Rates
- Each camera channel can be set to output up to 4 video streams to the network. Furthermore, you can individually adjust the frame rate and resolution for each video stream in order to satisfy various network and devices requirements.
